Project Manager
Our experienced Project Managers co-ordinate every step of the project from working drawings to building completion. Duties include:
Laison with the Owner.
Procurement - purchase of materials and sub-trade tender /selection.
Weekly meetings with Camdon management and Site Superintendents to review the progress of the project.
Budget Control
Our Timberline estimating and accounting systems are fully integrated, which gives us the ability to manage our projects efficiently.
The key element in controlling the project budget is the detailed Job Cost Variance report, which allows us to track estimated and committed costs.
In conjunction with budget remaining, this provides us with a variance report to track the project costs.
Project Scheduling
Camdon utilizes Microsoft Project scheduling software.
Computerized scheduling tracks both time and resource constraints to ensure timely delivery of materials and sequential booking of sub-trades.
Controlling project duration is equally as important as the project budget. Not meeting the schedule may result in additional financing charges, plus the fact the building is not being utilized for its intended use.
Site Superintendent
Our experienced Site Superintendents are the front line co-ordination with the sub-trades and suppliers.
Site Superintendents ensure there is strong emphasis on quality construction practices and site safety.
We pre-qualify our sub-trades as much as possible so they are aware of the quality and timeliness we expect.
We expect sub-trades to perform at the same standards we set for ourselves.
Duties Include:
Co-ordination of sub-trades and suppliers;
Safety procedures and regulations;
Detailed planning and scheduling;
Quality control and inspections.
Site Safety
Site safety is paramount with Camdon.
We are committed to providing a safe work environment for our employees and sub-trade personnel.
Safety on the job site requires a combined effort on the part of all persons on the site.
Each person is responsible for working safely with equal concerns for the safety of co-workers.
