Accomplishments/Community Involvement


“Camdon Construction has been rooted in the Red Deer community since 1984, and strives to be socially responsible corporate citizens by supporting numerous organizations who work towards community building.”



St. John Ambulance

In 2004 Camdon constructed the new St. John Ambulance facility and donated their management fee.


Camp Alexo

Camp Alexo is owned and operated by the Youth and Volunteer Centre of Red Deer, providing adventure based wilderness programs for children and youth. In 2008, Camdon Construction organized and completed the addition of a new covered deck by providing the design, collecting donations of construction materials as well as Camdon staff donating their time to build.


Alberta Sports Hall of Fame & Museum (ASHFM)

In 1999, Camdon constructed the new Alberta Sports Hall of Fame & Museum, and in 2005, completed an expansion. In support of the ASHFM, Camdon chose to donate their construction management fee and are recognized as one of the Building Founders. As well, Camdon provides on-going support as the Dinner Sponsor of the ASHFM's Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament.


Potters Hands Ministries

Annually, Camdon Construction not only donates the fixings for a supper meal for the less fortunate, but Camdon employees enjoy volunteering to prepare and serve the supper as well. Camdon Staff have also recognized the need for blankets, toques, socks, and gloves in the homeless community and held spontaneous “drives” within the company to meet these needs.
 


Adopt-A-Family

Camdon management and staff donate funds annually to the Salvation Army's Adopt -A - Family program, providing gifts and a festive meal to a family in need during the Christmas season.
 


Red Deer Curling Classic

The Annual Red Deer Curling Classic is held in support of Youth Curling in Red Deer. Funds raised at this event provide free and subsidized ice time, equipment, and financial support to local youth curlers. Camdon Construction contributes to this fundraiser each year. 


Catalina Swim Club

Camdon Construction provided sponsorship support for Catalina Swim Club's 3rd and 4th Annual Texas Hold 'Em Tournament, Dinner and Silent Auction.  Monies raised are used for development of young swimmers.
 


The Humans Helping Housing Foundation

is a community-driven affordable housing initiative born in the Town of Drayton Valley, operated by passionate members of the community including professionals, business people, and community figures. During a recent build, Camdon  donated hard hats to all volunteers.
 


Various Charities and Minor Sports

Camdon Construction donates each year to numerous local Charities and Minor  Sports Organizations.
